The form on this site asks for a first name, an email address and a phone number, and lets you tick which classes you are interested in. Nothing else is requested and no field is hidden.

When you submit it, those details are sent to Flodesk, the email service Galvan’s Martial Arts uses to manage its mailing list, and an email notification is sent to the school so somebody can get back to you. You are added to the school’s email list. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off the list immediately. You can also ask to be removed by emailing info@teamgma.com.

Analytics and advertising

This site loads two measurement tools, both of which set cookies:

  • Google Analytics — counts page views and which pages people reach, so the school can tell which classes people are looking for.
  • The Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — used to measure and target advertising. Under California law this counts as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

When you reach the thank-you page after sending the form, both tools record that an enquiry happened. They are told that an enquiry happened, not who made it. Your name, email address and phone number are never sent to Google or to Meta — not as a parameter, not in the page address, and not as a custom field.

  • It does not ask for payment details. Nothing is sold on this website.
  • It does not have user accounts, so there is nothing to log in to.
  • It does not store your enquiry on this website. The site is a set of static files with no database; your message goes to Flodesk and to the school’s email.

Turning the tracking off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which stops both tools. Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics, and Meta lets you control ad targeting in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

Children

Classes are taught to children from age 6, but this website is written for adults and the form is intended to be filled in by a parent or guardian. The school does not knowingly collect information from children through this site.

Asking what is held, or asking for it to be deleted
